Exploring Reykjavik

When I woke up this morning, I was really tired from being up all night to guard the ship.

I took an impulse decision to sleep thru breakfast to get an extra 40 minuets of sleep. Definitely worth it. The extra minutes of sleep gave me just enough energy to make it through the day.

After a short line-up on deck and some brief information I set out to explore more of Reykjavik with my friends. Since it was Sunday morning no stores were open, so we went looking for a café to spend the morning hours in. We ended up eating brownies and drinking coffee almost until it was time to go back to the ship for lunch. When we finally left the café after a couple of hours, we released that almost all the stores had opened.

After lunch we went shopping and a bought a beautiful grey hat and a gray knitted sweater. Just before were headed for flying over Iceland, we ate some nice cold ice-cream out in the sun. If anyone reading this is planning on visiting Iceland I would definitely recommend the flying over Iceland simulator. It truly felt like you were flying and they even added sprays of water and the smell of flowers to make it all more effectful.

Lastly we ate dinner out at a sushi restaurant where the food was served on small plates circling the table on a conveyer belt. It was delicious but very expensive.
