Land in sight

When I woke today something was different. Today was the day that we were going to see land for the first time in 4 days.

The first thing that we got told today was land in sight. We all got very excited and went up to see for ourselves. It was beautiful. The wind was warm and the sun was just above the sea. I looked to the right and saw a big island. It was one of the most beautiful things I had seen in a long time. There were houses all the way up to the top of the mountains. The houses were colorful and cute. Where there was no houses there was beautiful landscape. The sea was blue and bright. It looked like a painting.

I could have watched it all day long but there was no time, I had to get to work. It was tough but it payed of, we were finally at the dock and everything felt okay again.

Everyone was eager to leave the boat, we took a shower and got ready as fast as we could, then we left to see the island. One thing lead to another and suddenly we were at a lava beach. It was special, I loved it. The beach was covered in sand and stones. The sand was black and perfectly warm, the stones were round and soft. It reminded me of summer, the water was almost as warm as in the Swedish summer. The difference was the color. It was as blue as I had ever seen the ocean.

After a long day at the beach we headed back to boat and watched a movie outside. Even though it was late at night we only had to wear sweatshirts, it was a lovely end to an awesome day in Madeira.
