Last day in Porto

Today is the day, the last day in Porto. It's the last day and the last chance to do everything you haven't done yet.

Not only is this the last day in Porto, it's the first day of December and the beginning of the countdown to Christmas. To celebrate the first day of the Christmas month I went to Primark.

Today it's the first day of December and there’s two weeks left of the trip. It's a weird feeling to be honest. It feels like yesterday when we watched Catch me if you can at Öckerö borgen, but at the same time it's been an eternity since they let us walk and buy snacks for the trip at Öckerö. But to look at the more positive side here and now, I got to open the first hatch on my advent calendar. It's a chocolate one and the front of it has dinosaurs. I know, what a Christmas related advent calendar.

Anyway, the plan was that we were going to leave Porto today but it got changed. So today I went to Primark with a couple of my friends. We went to the bus right after the famous "Tio fika". We had some problem with finding the right bus. We walked back and forth and finally we found the right one. With a little help from Google maps. When we finally found the bus it didn't arrive in time so we got a little bit stressed. But finally it arrived and we were on our way.

We arrived at Norte Shopping and went straight to the restaurant part of the mall. It was big, gigantic even. There were restaurants everywhere and then it was tables in the middle of all of the restaurants. This part was designed so you could buy any food you wanted and still sit together. I bought a burrito at Taco bell, it was quite good for being fast food. After eating and chatting we went searching for Primark. Just like our problems with finding the bus we didn't find Primark at first either. But with some help from workers at the mall we finally got there. I think we all got a little disappointed since we didn't find that much good stuff we had hoped for. But i found a nice pair of gloves for the Swedish winter. After Primark we were all pretty tired, so we decided to go to the nearby supermarket to buy some drinks and snacks for the trip back. I bought a lemonade and a cactus. I will try to get the cactus with me home. It will probably not be a problem; I've packed live plants before. It was only 9 cents, so 9 SEK. So I had to buy it, obviously. I do collect houseplants after all.

The funniest thing today was probably when Klara's bag broke right after the Supermarket. It ripped apart, but thankfully there was a gift wrapper station where the paper was for free. The only right answer to this problem was to wrap the broken paper bag in gift paper so it will hold together. Klara choosed orange paper with a singing duck and a singing pig. Absolutely gorgeous.

We were going to eat dinner at the boat so we had to get going if we were going to visit the local fruit store, which we wanted to do. We took the bus and got off at a walking distance to the store. It was really cheap and I bought some kiwis. Afterwards, we walked straight back to the boat were I ate a wok with halloumi. After dinner I did some studying and called my family and my girlfriend to say goodbye since we are leaving tomorrow morning.

Before I went to sleep we all, pretty much every one of us, looked at this year’s Christmas calendar. It was actually really fun and I will try to look at it every day till Christmas eve. Today was a good last day in Porto before leaving to Malaga, or unknown destination. It will be exiting.
