A Day in Rainy Bergen

Sunday began with a hearty breakfast, including eggs and bacon alongside the usual deal. After that, it was time to put on my work clothes and head to the morning assembly. Then it was time for my watch on board, which started with a lesson for us seafarers with the captain, covering mooring and fenders, until the 10 AM coffee break.

Afterwards, I got started on maintenance work, such as checking the liferafts, ensuring various valves were functioning properly, and inspecting the flood alarms in different parts of the ship. After chicken stew for lunch, it was time to inspect the lines securing the blocks to the deck when we hoist the sails. I also sewed whippings on the lines to prevent them from fraying. We ended the day with shrimp pasta for dinner.
