Adventure in Plymouth

Waking up at six in the morning might seem early to some, but for me, it’s just part of the job when you work in the kitchen. The whole morning, I was filled with excitement for the adventure that awaited me
and my friends in Plymouth. Little did I know, the adventure ahead would be filled with delicious food, unique shops, and a treasure trove of jewelry.

The sun had barely risen when I was woken up to prepare breakfast for
everyone on board. I was met by an empty kitchen with no sliced bread,
no spreads, no oats and barely any jam. Everything needed to be
restocked. It was going to be a demanding morning. I had to run back and
forth between the kitchen and all the storage boxes until everything was
finally ready and I could have breakfast. During the breakfast, I agreed
with my friend Stella that we would wear matching outfits. After
breakfast, we got ready together for a day in Plymouth.

At 08:30 am, we took the ferry into the city. At the ferry terminal,
there was a small stand selling homemade fudge. The vendor was very
friendly and let us taste all the different flavor combinations she had.
My friends and I bought fudge for the trip home. We then continued to
browse various small shops along a cozy street with old brick houses.

After a few hours of shopping, we went to a street where a food festival
was being held. There were tons of delicious dishes being sold there.
For lunch, I had hash browns, which are a dish consisting of fried
potatoes with feta cheese and dressing. It was absolutely amazing. For
dessert, I had a biscotti pastry, which was probably the best pastry I
have ever had in my life. It was worth every penny. More money went
towards jewelry. We visited a jewelry and crystal shop that had a whole
array of jewelry of every color existing. If I were a millionaire, I
would not hesitate to buy out the entire store. Instead, I bought two
belly button rings, an amethyst bracelet, and a pair of earrings.
Jewelry will always have a special place in my heart.

After a successful shopping day, we had fish and chips and halloumi
fries by the harbor. I suppose it’s a must to buy fish and chips when
visiting England. However, whether it was better than Swedish fish and
chips, I’m not sure even though it should taste better here because the
dish originally comes from England. If you are planning on traveling to
England and wish to eat fish and chips, Plymouth may not be the perfect
place for you. Nevertheless, if you love cozy streets with amazing
bakeries, much vintage and antique stores and lots of independent unique
stores placed along the coast offering beautiful views, surrounding a
big city with all kinds of stores, you have come to the right place.
