A good day

Somewhere in a big puddle on a kinda small ship. It’s Saturday 5th of April. The day started with watch for us in starboard from 4am to 8am in heavy rain. We “brassade” and took down our “brammar” and “brassade” again and again and again.

I think we had about 568 nautical miles left to La Coruña when we got off our watch. That’s not too far. I think it’s going to feel faster after a while because of the routine we get. I really like the people in our watch so that makes everything a whole lot easier. Everyone does what they are told to do. It was a little hard to find people who could be in the galley when we had such a bad weather because it’s impossible to not feel seasick in there, but now it’s easier. The weather really took hard on some of us, we barely did anything on the watches because half of the people sat down and threw up for four hours. It was kinda fun with the huge waves though, at least for a while and as long as I wasn’t in the galley. Anyways, now the weather is calm and we do things on our watches. We also have classes. That was something positive about the bad weather, we didn’t have classes so we could sleep every free minute of the day. I think I slept 16 hours one day. That was really nice. But it’s also nice to actually have a routine. Now we have classes until our watch starts at 4pm again. I’m kinda excited actually, that’s all because of the people in our watch, we are a good combination of people. Our day watch from 4pm to 8pm started with some “brassning” surprise! We had a really fun watch, we played games and had a really good time. The sun was shining and everyone was so happy, we saw dolphins and wrote a song for midships watch. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a great day on board actually. I think we have about 7 days left until we arrive to La Coruña but that will go fast. I hope you had just as good of a day as I did.
