Today started with a wonderful visit at the university of Bergen where we received several presentations from both teachers and students ranging from meteorology to oceanography. It truly was a lovely university that I will definitely consider going to after high school.
After we came back to the boat and ate some lunch, pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese, we decided to go on a hike. The weather app said that it was going to be raining for the whole afternoon but we decided that it couldn’t be that bad… right? It did in fact rain for the whole afternoon.
But we didn’t let that ruin our mood! With purposeful minds and hopeful hearts we climbed the closest mountain we could find, the beautiful “fløyfjellet” with an altitude of around 400 meters. And despite the fact that some of us were wearing sandals while others had their sailing gear we did eventually manage to reach the top of the mountain.
So what did we do on the top? We took a swim in a lake of course! As my good friend Ludvig likes to say “you never regret a swim”. Tired but satisfied we walked back down to eat a delicious subway sandwich and the day was then nicely capped off with a stroll through the town of bergen.
