Another day at sea!

Woke up at 03:30 to go on watch at 04:00. Today it was my turn to work in the kitchen preparing night food and, later, breakfast. However, it was a special night watch today because our “watch leader” unfortunately had gotten a cold with a sore throat and a headache. Anthony had to jump in! Right after watch we ate breakfast, yoghurt and cornflakes, and then some of us went to bed.

Every night watch we have the opportunity to choose what kind of nightfood to make. This night we chose to make toasts with ketchup, cheese and ham. They were delicious!

After some rest we got woken up for lunch, “korv stroganoff” with salad. After that we had lessons in Swedish, religion, P.E and for some of us French. After three hours of lessons and loads of candy it was time to go on watch again. We did some work in the rig and later on we dowsed and furled four sails.

The best thing with the four/eight watch is that we get 30 minutes to eat dinner and rest. The other watches only get 15 minutes to eat “fika”.

For an update, our current location is in the English Channel and we can see Great Brittain. Anne-Li told us that we, hopefully, will arrive at Cherbourg on Wednesday, one day before estimated time of arrival. She also told us that there will be a lot of second-hand shops in Cherbourg and, as you know, SA2427 are obsessed with second hand-shopping. We keep our fingers crossed and hope for some nice finds!
