Another fantastic day

This beautiful day we arrived in Palmeira. We had the 8-12 shift, so we got to prepare and then steer the ship to the port. After that we were all eager to get out and see the city as always, so we ate lunch and showered in a hurry so we then cloud go.

First it was a bit hard to find a taxi into the city, but when we finally did we all jumped in and drove for around 30 minutes. The wind was blowing in from the open windows and the African music was playing loud and clear on the big speakers, and I thought to myself that this has without a doubt been one of the best things with this trip. Driving on all the beautiful roads with everyone singing along in the songs with big smiles on there lips, meanwhile warm winds hugs your cheeks and makes your hair go crazy. It´s an amazing feeling! When we later had arrived to Santa Maria, we all went for ice cream. After that we split up. We were 15 people so some of us went to the beach and some of us went for a walk in the city. This time I chose to take a look at the city, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was so beautiful, we looked around in all the small stores, and I even got a bracelet for free from a nice man on the market. Later we decided to by some chips and guacamole and join the others at the beach, which was a really good decision. After a few hours we went to get some dinner, and we were lucky enough to get place at a nice restaurant by the street. We ate fish, rice, pasta, meat and fries. We even got some banana flame for dessert. It was a really nice last dinner in the harbour! But the day was a little bit to nice, so we ended up stressing to find a taxi back. But finally we found one and the day ended in a speed run back to the boat, and believe it or not, we got there right in time! So I would say that we managed to make it get another fantastic day on this trip!
