Bye bye Grenada!

The day started of as usual, breakfast in the big mess and line up on deck. The Captain started of with some information and today we were leaving Grenada. Since it was Sunday we also did a safety drill. At around 9 am the fire alarm went of and we lined up again and gathered in our life raft groups. We repeated the procedure of what we do if we need to abandon the ship, how to put on our lifejackets and the names and uses of the gadgets we bring into the life rafts.

Gunilla set sails and took of towards Guadeloupe at 11 am. My watch, midships, got the 4 to 8 watch and therefor I was free until 4 pm. I used my time wisely by going to sleep and save some energy for the night watch.

At 15:40 it was ship meeting, as usual every Sunday. Before we started Alex and Emilio, two crew members went under deck to inspect our cabins. To everyones surprise they had almost no complaints.

When the meeting was over we took over the watch. I was in the post team. We had an amazing watch and first day at sea!
