Today I woke up at 7.40 am. We ate breakfast and prepared ourselves for taking off and leaving Rotterdam, maybe for good.

We had line up at 7.55 am and the crew told us that we were supposed to leave in one hour, the “8-12-watch” and the seafaring students should be ready on deck for helping out while leaving. Before leaving we packed up the giant inflatable fender. We were also supposed to lift the gangway up on the roof of the “byssa”. But the crane sadly started to leak and therefore wasn’t available. We had to manually lift up the gangway on the roof with our bare hands. The take off went as planned and after two hours of driving with machine we were out on the sea again, sailing as usual.
