Hello Spain!

Spain greeted us with 25 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. This weather was exactly what I needed after a week out sailing. Thank you Spain!

Today I spent a lot of time in the rig. I tarred, which is very important to keep the rig in good condition. The tar is very sticky and gets everywhere. That’s why we wore overalls and gloves as you can see in the picture. It was very hot but necessary!
When we were done in the rig we got ice cream. The cold strawberry ice cream was exactly what I needed. Really delicious!! After the ice cream we anchored outside Huelva. By this time all of us were hot and sweaty.

Luckily we got to jump in the ocean. I don’t think there is any better feeling than jumping in the water when you are hot. The water temperature was around 21-22 degrees. I believe it’s a great temperature, but I also start swimming in the ocean around easter.

We swam for a long time. I lost track of how many times I jumped in the ocean. We laughed and played around. It is very nice to be anchored. Of course it’s very fun to be out sailing but I don't complain about being able to sit on deck and studie. Now when we have been out for over a week, it’s nice to take a little break.

After our wonderful swim it was time for dinner and studies. On the menu today was hamburgers served on deck in the afternoon sun. The summerfeeling was on top. Perfect day if you ask me!
