Just another day

Today has been quite the usual day. I started the day off with being waken up by my roommate Elvira, and then I threw on the first clothes I laid my eyes on. After being woken up I dragged my feet to the dining mess to have my first cup of coffee of the day, much needed. After breakfast I put on my work-clothes and brushed my teeth, all while trying to fully wake up.

7.55 am, I was on deck, ready for watch. Fortunately, today I was in the working force, the most fun thing to be, since it’s so much variation maing the time go faster. It was a bit scary but mostly fun during watch today since it was a very windy day, with water forcing over deck. Personally I actually think it’s really fun to sail in rough weather conditions since it brings a little bit of action to the watch.

After our watch it was time for lunch, on the menu today was macaroni porridge. Someone liked it more than others, for example Elvira, my already introduced roommate loved it.

After the lunch it was time for lessons. Also here, it is like the lunch, some people like it more than others. Personally, I think it’s quite necessary, since it works as a way to speed up the time, but of course it’s maybe not the most fun thing to do.

3.15 pm, it’s time for a 15-minute break, and the lovely cookie “kärleksmums” was served and “kärleksmums” is not like the lunch and lessons, everyone loves “kärleksmums”.

One of the many powernaps you take every day was taken after the break. 5 pm, I woke up for dinner, yes, we eat, sleep, watch on repeat. The dinner went by and after we watched the soap-opera Below deck together in the watch.

7.55 pm, I was on deck again, together in midships we stood there gathered and ready for the night shift. A shift filled with sailing, cleaning and listening to our best command Hanna playing violin and singing.

That was the fourteenth of march on T/S Gunilla, probably kind of the same as the fifteenth and sixteenth of march.
