Today we were leaving Barcelona to sail to Palma de Mallorca
Around 08:30 o’clock we dropped anchor and left Barcelona for new adventures at sea and Palma de Mallorca.
Today port, amidships and starboard switched times for the watches of this sea leg.
Some students went to sleep almost directly, and some had watch, like always on Gunilla.
I had the watch 8-12 so we were the one who dropped anchor from Barcelona, and I think it’s the best thing to do, even if it’s a bit sad to left the harbor it is very fun and beautiful to look out at the beautiful view when we´re leaving the harbor and to work.
After a while of sailing it started to rain, a lot, and it even blew up to a small tornado next to us.
It really feels like it is going to winter time, because it starts to get really cold, this morning it was around 12 degrees Celsius and everyone had their warmest clothes.
While it was raining a lot we had a “boat-meeting” where we talked about our well-being on Gunilla and if we wanted to change anything. We also had coffee/tea time, and the best part of that was that we got pears, it was so good!
So for today I think pretty much everyone is excited for Mallorca, some are seasick, so I think they are a bit extra excited to arrive. But this week in Barcelona has been very fun for everyone, and we are traveling with much new experiences and new friends. I hope you all are having a good time in Sweden, because we are.
Best wishes
Isabelle Fredriksen
