Really calm

We are now three days into the first part of our journey to A Coruña in northern Spain. The past few days has been really calm with nearly no wind at all and no waves, apart from the old swell that remains.

Today has been more or less the same with no wind at all. That means we can’t sail and that we must go by engine. The outcome of not sailing is that there isn’t much to do when on watch, which is pretty boring. The only thing we do is like playing games to make the time go by faster. To add some contrast to our day we had a fire alarm drill where the captain pulled off the alarm, and we trained on what to do in this kind of simulated emergency. The watch before mine in the morning saw multiple whales and later on, we also saw a turtle swimming around which was cool. Otherwise, there isn’t so much more to say. Our life onboard keeps on going and where’re having a good time – nothing to complain about.
