Soaked and tired

Today I woke up at 07:30 and realized I had overslept, so I had to skip breakfast those extra ten minutes of sleep felt more important anyway.

After the morning lineup we had watch duty, and I was assigned ship watch, which is honestly the most boring post on the whole vessel. I got a pretty decent schedule too, so I can’t really complain.
After about two or three hours, our watch leader told us we were doing rigging drills. Just to point out: it had been raining the entire day — except right then. We started climbing into the rigging, stepped out onto a yard, and of course the rain immediately started pouring again.
By the time we climbed down we were soaked and tired, but at least we could laugh about it.
