The big bang

Today I woke up to a big bang. I didn’t know what it was until I found out that it was from the room next to mine.

Their cabinet had flown into the wall because it tilted so much. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep because I have just been moving back and forth because of the tilting.

The lunch today was very tasty. It was an Indian soup with chicken and rice. I love Indian food so I was very happy.

The watch today was very wet! Many waves came on deck and into my shoes and clothes. It got very cold very fast. We also did a maneuver that caused a bit of chaos. We had put the rope wrong so when we were going to set the sail it didn’t work. Then we had to do it all over again. But after that it went on smoothly.

Another funny thing that happened was that when my friend stirred the wheel she was 100 degrees wrong so the captain had to come out and take over. He had to spin the wheel maybe 20 times to get back on track. But after that she steered very good.

Now we are recharging for our shift tonight. It has been a good day.
