The end of familization

Today we finished the familization in the morning and then after the morning brake we had a repetition on the knots that we need to know to be able to handle the sail. Then we also went up in the rig to take down and up the sail so we can do on our own.

What I remember it wasn’t so difficult to do but boy was I wrong! It was heavy and my back hurt so much. My feet hurt to, because it isn’t much to stand on up there.

Now on the afternoon some friends and I went in to town, we just looked around a little and the we went to a grocery store so that we could by some snacks and sodas for the 6 day long sailing that starts tomorrow to Funchal. We were back just in time for dinner at 6, they served chicken clubs with potatoes and sauce.
