The extremely dangerous game of football

Two days ago, some friends and I were going to play football in the evening in Ullapool. But there wasn't much playing for me since, after 30 minutes of playing, I managed to slip and hit my knee. So instead I had to sit out on the sidelines and cheer the others on. After about an hour, it was time to go home, but since I couldn't walk on my own , two of my friends had to carry me back.

Once back on the ship, I was assigned a new room, the sickbay. The chief mate examined my knee and determined that it didn't need amputation. However, I would have to spend the next few days in the sickbay.

So now I have been living here for the past two days, and it feels a bit like I'm on a boring vacation. I don't have to work, and I get breakfast, lunch and dinner delivered to my bed.

But it gets quite lonely and boring after a while. So far, My days have consisted of four crosswords and three sudoku puzzles. I've also taken three very slow walks to and from the small mess hall. But it's still a bit nice to get some alone time since we usually live on top of each other. I feel like this is a good experience, and I've gotten to see more perspectives of Gunilla than I would have if I have if I hadn't injured my knee.

Today's schedule includes afternoon coffee at 3, dinner, and then a very careful and slow watch from 8 to 12, so I don't die of boredom. That's all from me.

Best regards, Danute from the sickbay.
