After sailing down the river, no I mean after going speedboating down the river we waited on temporary quay over the night. We continued following the sea watches which meant that I had watch from 4-8 in the morning.
. At 6 we were going to leave the temporary quay and go under a bridge so we could get to the “real” quay. Now you may wonder why we didn´t go directly to the “real” quay, but it was because the damn bridge just opened once a day, 7:00 in the morning.
Me and my watch team were up on deck to help the captain to switch quay. As usual it was a bit hard to get up 6:00 in the morning but when we sailed under the bridge it was pretty cool to be awake but it felt even better to eat breakfast after we were done with all the work on deck.
After that it was a long wait to disembark the ship but it only lasted until 10 when the captain said that we had the permission to get of the ship. As soon as we heard that, we changed clothes and got ready to discover Seville. For you who never been here I will describe it for you. It’s the fourth largest city in Spain and its most famous for the big cathedral La Giralda and an old castell called Alcazar. The city is very flat, there is a lot of cute second-hand stores and as you probably already figured out a big river runs through the whole city.
The first thing we did was to eat ice-cream at the first place we saw, it was really good, I took mango and coconut and some Nutella at the top. Except from second-hands, flamenco is a thing here so everywhere you go you can see something which is related to flamenco. It can be some souvenirs shops filled with magnets and postcards with red and black on or just posters with girls in big dresses holding beautiful fans in their hands.
In the evening, we sat down on a cozy tapas bar on one of the streets near the big cathedral. We ordered some different dishes to share, paella, goat cheese with bread and a Spanish potato omelet. Everything was very delicious and it was just cozy to sit on the restaurant and talk. We took a walk back to the boat and finished the evening there.
