A day at Stonehenge

Everyone has the same question. Why did they put so huge stones in a place of nowhere? But no one has an answer to that question.

The day started with a crew change. Our Captain Anders signed off for the last time on Gunilla. He starts working on another sailing vessel, Sørlandet. Good luck in the future! Instead, we got Torben, he will sail with us the last part of the trade. We also changed both officers and the engineer.

Later on, we took a bus to Stonehenge. The one-and-a-half-hour bus trip was filled with everyone singing and the driver wanted us to sing even higher. When we arrived everyone got an old Nokia 3310 to put to the ear so we could hear a recorded guide talking when we walked around. It ended up with the phone turned off and we just walked around. It wasn’t so comfortable to walk around with the old cell phone. But it was really nice to visit the place. Two of the students didn’t use their brain and run cross-over the barrier against the stones. Ended up with 3 security guards searching for them.

During the ride home, we stopped at the same place where the Russian man got poisoned. It was a few months ago it happened, but it’s still a lot of policemen all over the place.

Best regards, Simon Fredrin
