Öckerö gymnasium

18th of August

Today was a pretty great day! We had beautiful weather, with plenty of sunshine and almost no wind. The perfect kind of day to be out at sea… or in our case, in the harbor.

The first thing we did after waking up was, of course, breakfast. Today’s breakfast was a little different from usual. We had freshly baked focaccia and porridge. Not a bad way to start the day!

Later, we had a hectic hour of safety tests. We tested both the fire alarm and the MOB (Man Overboard) alarm. Luckily, everything went well, and I think we did a pretty good job. No one had to actually jump into the sea, so I would definitely call that a success!

After the safety tests, we had a quick lesson in Stora Mässen with Angelica, where we went through the travel assignments.

Since I’m in Styrbord, we had the day off today. So, we spent most of the morning sitting outside in the sun. We did some important stuff too, like counting some of the math assignments.

The afternoon looked pretty much the same as the morning: sunshine, relaxing and trying not to melt. Around 3 o’clock, the truck with our food finally arrived at the jetty. We formed a long human supply chain from the truck to the fridge and freezer and started unpacking everything.

Later, we had dinner, chicken and potatoes. After dinner, we watched an episode of Elitstyrkans hemligheter on the deck. Watching a movie with friends felt like a pretty good way to end the day with.

Goodnight, sleep tight!
