A bus trip around the ”main land”

Today we went on a bus trip around the ”main land” on Shetland. We got up at a quarter past seven in the morning to eat breakfast. After muster we packed our bags with necesseties. Tim, our cook, had made pastasallad so we got our own….

At 9 we gathered beside the buss and then we set off. First we headed up north to Eshannes. Here we visited a lighthouse, it stood on a steep edge, the view was fantastic. After a few more stops in the north we headed down south, first to jarlshof where you could visit ruins from a viking society, before the vikings came, the site was used by other tribes of earlier times. Some of the ruins there go back a few thousands of years. After Jarlshof we went to another lighthouse, on a site as beautiful as the first one. But sadly we couldn’t enter. Then we headed home again to Lerwick and we arrived at 5 to Gunilla, and thats pretty much how the day ended. It was a super cool experiance and I hope to experciance it again some day.
