Scary but astonishing and it was exactly what we had been looking for.
I was woken up at 6 o’clock to prepare breakfast for the crew. After a stressful but enjoyable breakfast we gathered on the quay and waited for the bus that took on today’s adventure. The adventure was Everglades! We walked around in mud and water up to our knees and the science students made some observations, we saw a 2 meters long alligator only 4 meters away, scary but astonishing and it was exactly what we had been looking for. Later on we eat the lunch that I and the other backisar cocked the day before and if I can say it myself, it was a delicious meal! We saw some other animals like turtles, fishes, crayfish and lots of alligators. It was a really interesting and funny adventure.
When we came back to the boat we repacked our bags and went straight ahead to MIAMI BEACH. Together with my friends, I went swimming in the hot water, played cards in the enjoyable sun and eat sandwiches on the beach while watching the sunset. After we threw some Frisbee we went back to boat and ended the day with coffee on deck in front of the skyline of Miami.
After only 3 days here on Gunilla it already feels like home and I’m really looking forward to be sailing out on open seas in a couple of days.
