We’ll Sea Where We End Up

We were supposed to leave for the big blue today, but the weather has other plans for us. So we are staying a bit longer, which means I have a whole day of watch. But after three days on land and going into the same shops nine times isn't it that bad to just be on Gunilla and work.

Unfortunately I woke up a little bit on the wrong side of the bed but fortunately I got some work in the rig which I love so that was really nice. However it was around the topgallant and the topgallant shrouds (the last meter of ladder before the second-highest sail) is very steep so it feels like a pull-up to get up every time.

At our three fika we got some pasterys, buns with vanilla filling. It was very appreciated and fancy and on the whiteboard our backisar (the ones working in the kitchen) had written a message. They wanted to gather everyone for a surprise at 20:30 in Storramässen (where we have all our lessons) and that we should sharpen our ears.

The last thing we always have to do before we are done is to clean the interior and then we are free. So we cleaned and cleaned and then was done for the day. Apart from me because I hadn't done my PE assignment which is to do a workout in every harbor after you have had watch. It was very grueling but nice nevertheless it took a quick turn because after half-an-hour the sky opened up and it started pouring down! I was pretty tired and done so it was actually just a really nice excuse to stop and take a shower.

20:30 came and almost everyone was in Storramässen. It was a music quiz, not just a normal music quiz because the questions were everything from when a song was released to what are they singing after this sentence.

We all love it here, but are hoping we will cast off soon and leave for Dublin. Overall it was a great day, it started off so-so then did a complete 180 and finished on top!
